Braided hair/ getting it out

I love getting braided extensions but getting them out is a problem to me... The hair get knotted up at the beginning of the braid and it pulls my hair out a lot. What's the best way of getting the braids out with less breakage. I would love to keep getting these styles but I'd wind up with no hair if I keep going this route.

I always soak my hair in olive oil and do a hot oil treatment in order to remove braids. I do not recommend adding water or trying to shampoo before removing the braids. Soak your hair in oil, warm oil if possible, then take your time in unraveling and removing hair. This trick works for me every time.
