Radiation Killed My Hair!

The regrowing of my hair occurred when I had two months of radiation treatment around my neck and ear. Although the radiation was not directly emitted on my scalp, I still lost hair. My sideburn hair fell out, the hair around my ears, and lastly all the nape hair on the back of my head. I knew about the possibility of losing hair, but once it started happening. I went into a state of shock.

I knew that there was nothing I could do to stop the natural hair from falling out, so I had to wait until I was finished with all my x-rays, cat scans, MRI’s, and radiation treatments before I could start regrowing my hair. However once everything was in the clear, Thank You God, and I was cancer free, I took action!

I knew my first step was regrowing edges, regrowing nape, and creating natural curly hairstyles and my african american hair care routine again.

Although you might have lost or thinned out your hair from other processes, these methods can help regrow and thicken your hair including your crown, edges, and nape areas.
