African American Hair Care Products

We are all looking for that holy grail of African American Hair care products that will land at our doorstep and completely change the life our hair. However we must face the fact that although there are numerous products out there, they are not all good for our hair.

A lot of times those black hair products contain some very nasty stuff that can cause hair breakage, over shedding, or cause your hair fall out. So how do you know what is good for your hair? It is simple and it will be broken down into two parts here.

Which Black Hair Care Products?

The first thing you need to do in deciding what black hair care products you want to buy is to read the ingredients. These ingredients are listed on the back of the bottle/jar and are very important to understand. The first ingredient is what the product contains the most of inside.

So if you are looking for a moisturizer then you need to pick products that have water listed as the first ingredients. This will ensure that you have a proper moisturizer in your black hair care routine. If you are looking for an oil then the first ingredients should not be water. It all depends on the type of product you decide to buy.

One thing to look out for are those nasty ingredients that cause all the hair issues that we try to avoid. Some of the nasty ingredients are:

•Petroleum

•Mineral oil

•Alcohol based products

•Detergents

I have seen women still use these products and not experience damage, but there are many more that have lost hair or their hair stopped growing because of these ingredients. Therefore I just avoid them all together.

When I was trying to grow my hair out I just could not understand why all my hair was thinning and would not grow. It was mostly because of the bad hair products and over usage of heat.

African American Hair care products are great for Relaxed hair too!

Some great African American hair care products lines that are great to use are:

1.Oyin Handmade

2.Jane Carter

3.Kinky Curly

4.Carols daughter

But I mostly mixed and match to create a black hair care routine that I will love and that will love my hair back.

The most important rule about black hair care products is that if you cannot read the ingredient or understand it, then do not buy it! So what types of hair products do you like?
